More Than 50 Students from Baldwin UFSD Recognized as All-County Musicians
A total of 55 students from the Baldwin Union Free School District (UFSD) have been recognized as All-County musicians by the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA). These students were chosen based on their outstanding NYSSMA scores from last spring, representing those who achieved the highest levels of excellence. The NMEA, comprising dedicated teachers and educational professionals, is committed to the importance of high-quality music education delivered by qualified music educators.
The selected students will perform at the NMEA annual festival, which highlights the finest musicians from both public and private schools across Nassau County. This year’s festival is set to take place at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in January 2026.
“We are thrilled to have 55 of our musicians representing Baldwin in the NMEA All-County Music Festival,” stated Mr. André Poprilo, director of fine and performing arts for Baldwin Union Free School District. “Our teachers are careful to balance the high expectations of our performance ensembles with the motivation for personal mastery for individual students.”
